Saturday Morning Reflection #17

Good morning everyone...

Today is the first day after Christmas. I have truly been blessed this year with many wonderful things. Friends, Family (and apparently I have been adopted by some "new" family members), along with having my life back. This morning I looked around and noticed all of the things I have in my life and thought about that. I didn't look around and think about the things I didn't have. I didn't look around and think about the things I want. I simply thought about the things that were with me.

Although 2009 was a year when I lost two of my best friends (Jake Dog and Holly Bear) it was also a year filled with fresh awakenings. A year that saw lines of communication opened again. A year where I returned to my life. A good year.

I look forward to 2010. I look forward to sharing my life with the special people that I have allowed in. I look forward to new adventures and excitement. At this point I must steal a line from someone else...I want to be a friend that a friend would love to have.

I appreciate the people that read this Blog. I hope that I give something to you, although I am not sure what that would be.

This will probably be the last post for 2009. God bless us all and Happy New Year

Ginger...did you think I would forget? You know me better than that.

Fresh out of high school, I found a job cleaning the elegant home of an older couple. Among other duties, I had to dust their many imported carvings and petrified collectibles as well as pick up after their pets.

One day I was astonished to find two ivory fossils lying on the floor beside the bookcase. I quickly picked them up and put them back on the shelf. The next week the same thing happened.

That afternoon my employer came into the parlor, her faithful canine behind her. Looking around, she eyed the bookcase.

"Tippy," she asked the dog, "how do your bones keep getting up there?

Well, until the next time...Please remember that I have to pay the bills.

Saturday Morning Reflection #16

Good Morning everyone..

Today, we should start with the weather. We got snow here. About 6 inches on top of my truck. Kinda feels like Christmas. I like it.

Latisha has mentioned several times that my Christmas tree looks bare. I guess it does. The tree is one of those that has the white lights built into it. It is symbolic of the restart in my life (or restartS). There are three ornaments on the tree. The first was made by my daughter several years ago when her mother and I split. I keep it in a baggie now because it is a cookie with magic marker on it attached by some yarn to a cutout paper bell. The second was a gift from Maggie . The third is a MARSHALL football helmet ornament from Latisha's parents. These items symbolize the things in my life that have carried forward and will always be with me.

There is something else on the tree. I received a Christmas card from Latisha. She doesn't talk too much, but the card says a lot. I think it earned a spot on THE TREE.

I hope that Christmas and New Years this year allows America, and the world, to have a renewing of faith. Perhaps it is time we re-embraced the Christian values that originally made this country great. There is something to be said for Conservative political views (and actions). The traditional ways that started this country made us strong. The new ways seem to make the American way of life weaker and weaker. The few that are still working are burdened with feeding not only the infirm and incapable, but also the lazy and useless. My first suggestion is that anybody who requires an attorney to win Social Security Disability should be able to work...and might I also suggest that any attorney that would specialize in this segment of law should be required to do something useful. There should also be fewer prison guards. How do we do that? Simple...Lock the prisoners up in a cell. Bring them food. Don't let them out to exercise. Don't give them cable tv. There is no outside exercise time or dorm living. They can have sponge bathes and anybody that assaults a guard gets those priveleges removed for a week. There won't be any cell extraction teams...don't do as your told?...then don't get fed. They will comply or get buried.
Either way works for me. Visitation happens on the day you get out of PRISON, not while you are there. The people that were murdered don't get visitation. The people that were raped are locked away in their minds and get punished forever. The people that were robbed never get a break from it. I suppose I am just tired of being nice to the CONVICTS.

That is enough tirade from me for this Saturday. Let me close this out with..."Merry Christmas..to all" and until the next time..please remember that I have to pay the bills

Saturday Morning Reflection #15

Good morning everyone...

Apparently the Good Lord has seen fit to crank on the AC and freeze everything. I am ready for Summer. Don't get me wrong, there is a need for cold weather and winter I just don't have to enjoy it. When it warms up a touch (and it will) I think I am gonna go out to Lake Vesuvius and do some fishing. I heard they stocked it with trout...and we all know I love to eat fresh trout.

I receive a lot of email referring to OUR troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. I remember my days in the Military and how I felt around the holidays. Lets all think about the troops and maybe even try to do something nice for them.

Yesterday, when I walked out of the house there was a large black cat (probably a stray) sitting by the frozen pond in my front yard. He didn't run very far when I stepped out. He looked at me and then looked at the pond. I knew he was thirsty. I broke the ice with a stick and stirred it around some. Before I could get to my truck he was at the pond, drinking. Does that count as a random act of kindness? I try to do one of those every day.

I have given serious thought to the Icons and Heroes this world follows. We have heard more about Tiger Woods and his infidelities than we should have. Everyday, there are Pro Sports Icons busted for drugs and various other Legal Problems. Perhaps as a society we are placing our WORSHIP in the wrong place. Instead of recognizing skill and strength we are paying people that have an aptitude for GAMES. Why doesn't the disciplined (and skilled) E-8 in the army get to compete for the 1.2 Million dollar signing bonus? The E-8 doesn't do drugs, doesn't steal, and doesn't set a bad example for our children. The E-8 exemplifies the characteristics of a HERO. That is just one example. Don't forget the world of Police Oficers, Firefighters, and all the other people that lay it all on the line everyday for your safety, not just for the final score. When I watch a program about a Police Officer, I am not forced to buy a $13 beer or pay $12 for a hot dog just to cover the cost of the athletes salary. Then I read about, and hear on the news, how that athlete did drugs, stole, committed adultery, or disrespected authority. Come on folks...lets put our respect where it truly belongs..back into America and with the Heroes that truly make this nation great. The common people have the power to truly affect change simply by where they put THEIR money. Lets use our heads and voices to begin this change.

Well, until the next time please remember that I have to pay the bills

Saturday Morning Reflection #14

Good Morning Everyone....

Today could see some snowfall in the Tri State Area and guess where I will be for the night...Yes, your right...working a midnight shift at Beech Fork. Seems to be luck since the check will be here just before Christmas. There is also the chance that Sunday's dinner will be fresh Crappie. I just hope I don't get too cold cleaning them tonight.

Nena...You are in my prayers...Please have a speedy recovery.

Work is going...ok. The sheer volume of work is overwhelming, but we all just keep plugging along. I like the OT I have been getting and hope it keeps up for a while.

Is everyone ready for New Years Eve? I am. Latisha and I have plans and I am very much looking forward to the fun. Everybody...please be safe that night...don't be a statistic.

Here is a subject that I am happy, yet sad, to write about. Coach Snyder...I wish you nothing but the best with the rest of your career. You did your best to help with the proud tradition of MARSHALL Football. You are a True Son of MARSHALL and we will always welcome you back as such.

Wonder who the new Football coach will be?

Ginger...here is one for you..

A minister was preoccupied with thoughts of how he was going to ask the congregation to come up with more money than they were expecting for repairs to the church building.

Therefore, he talked with the organist to see what kind of inspirational music she could play after the announcement about the finances to get the congregation in a giving mood.

"Don't worry," she said. "I'll think of something."

During the service, the minister paused and said, "Brothers and Sisters, we are in great difficulty; the roof repairs cost twice as much as we expected, and we need $4,000 more. Any of you who can pledge $100 or more, please stand up."

Just at that moment, the organist started playing, "The Star Spangled Banner."

Well, until the next time, please remember that I have to pay the bills

Saturday Morning Reflection#13

Good Morning Everyone..
This morning I am reflecting from the kitchen table instead of my usual spot in the recliner. Seems my house has been taken over by 14 y/o girls. I knew that it was a different kind of day when I saw Josie carrying a stolen sock. The sock was very colorful (as near as I could tell) and was not something I would wear. I am sure that the girls will find it...someday.

WE ARE.....MARSHALL!!!

Work just pisses me off. Not really sure what the plan might be but...I know that I only have 3551 days left to work.

Nena....got stuff back from review.Paid a bill stamped at the beginning of June 2009.

Here is something on a positive note...Latisha and I have made plans for New Years Eve. I am not telling WHERE we are going, until we get back. I know she has told a couple of her friends, but I am not posting the location on here. GONNA BE A BLAST!!!

Ginger...here is one for you....

Eating Strawberries

A farmer was driving along the road with a load of fertilizer. A child playing in front of his house saw him and called, "What are you hauling?"

"Fertilizer," the farmer replied.

"What are you going to do with it?" asked the child.

"Put it on strawberries," answered the farmer.

"You ought to live here," the child advised him.

"We put sugar and cream on them."

Well, until the next time, Please remember that I have to pay the bills

Saturday Morning Reflection #12

Good Morning everyone...Time for another Saturday Morning Reflection....

Today THE HERD has another chance to be BOWL ELIGIBLE. I still call for MARK SNYDER to be traded to another team. MARSHALL UNIVERSITY has tried to play with the BIG BOYS and has not been able to do so. To play with the BIG BOYS you gotta act like the BIG BOYS. OHIO STATE would not tolerate the statistics that SNYDER has generated and would send him back to MIDGET LEAGUE football.C'MON HERD lets act like the BIG BOYS.

Once again I will say that this may be my last regular season MARSHALL GAME until SNYDER has been dealt with. I advocate firing him at halftime, on the field, and allowing anyone else to coach the rest of the game.

Now, for work....WOW Volumes of work and staff shortages make life busy.

Nena...Get Well Soon....I'm tired of picking up your slack.

Life, as I know it, is getting better all the time. Things are just coming together and fun keeps coming my way. Even some future plans look like they are happening. I am ever so happy to be back home and living life the way I was meant to. I have met and now have a wonderful young lady in my life. All seems to be well there. She will be attending the GAME with me today.

Well, until the next time please remember that I have to pay the bills

Saturday Morning Reflection #11

Good morning Everyone...I would like to start this Saturday Morning Reflection with...WE ARE.....MARSHALL For all of THE HERD fans today is the day MARSHALL becomes BOWL ELIGIBLE.

I like to think that as we grow older we become smarter. I seem to have reached an area of smartness where I realize just how much I don't know. I am working on learning more. This past week has been just a week. Nothing much to it. Social calendar...good. House...good. Friends...All OK. Cat...Hey, CAT!? For those of you that didn't already know...There has been a new arrival at my house. Her name is Josie. She came in the open back door and plopped down on the couch. There were several trips back and forth. She now lives with me and appears to be quite content. Tuesday she will be mad, but as a responsible pet owner I will have her spayed. Please note that I did discuss this with her and told her that if she stayed she would have to be fixed...she meowed in an understanding tone and that sealed the deal.

The weather folks are predicting a very nice day today. I am looking forward to the MARSHALL game. Latisha and I will be in attendance. GO HERD!! Today, I will also join in with the cheers and chants of "FIRE SNYDER!!!"

Well, until the next time...Please remember that I have to pay the bills

Veteran's Day

Thank You....

Today I write this Blog knowing that my freedom to do this is defended and has been defended by many brave men and women. These are people that have the COURAGE to stand up for the AMERICAN way of life and defend OUR CONSTITUTION. Veterans have defended this country (and OUR way of life) since it all began. This is THE DAY to HONOR all VETERANS.

GOD BLESS AMERICA and THOSE THAT DEFEND HER

Saturday Morning Reflection #10

Hello to all...First item this morning...My condolences to all affected by the violence at Fort Hood................................................

Now, let me address the email in the previous post. Everyone knows that I am not a supporter of Mark Snyder. I also maintained that he should be given a chance to prove himself. Enough is Enough. He is a Son of MARSHALL and should be allowed to resign and move on in his career. Mark...are you listening?

Finally, after some negotiating, I have secured some land to hunt on in Ohio. I am excited about that. Please remember that I had been living in KY and had lost many of my Ohio contacts. Feels nice to be home.

Last week I had mentioned that my ex's lawyer couldn't get in touch with her to come in and sign the papers. Suddenly, she arrived and the last word I had was she had signed. Maybe she still does read this. No matter...it is done.

My weekend is flowing well. Latisha and I are heading out tonight to a beautiful spot in central WV (no name for now) and look forward to having a fantastic time.

Ginger...This part is for you....

"Last week at church I observed a young gentleman sitting in a pew several rows ahead of me. The child continually misbehaved until the exasperated father picked the child up and headed towards the exit. Just before the child exited the church the little boy called out to the congregation.."Pray for me...Pray for me!!!!!"

Well, until the next time...Please remember that I have to pay the bills

DISGUSTED

I am disgusted and finally had my say.....and yes, I did send it.....

Subject: My opinion
To: hamrickm@marshall.edu
Date: Friday, November 6, 2009, 12:43 PM

I watched the MARSHALL v. ucf game on National TV I was appalled. Normally, I do not voice an opinion about someone's qualifications. Are you sure Mark Snyder is actually qualified to coach football at the level he is being paid to coach? Starting now I am withdrawing my support from Marshall Athletics in protest of this gentleman remaining as a head coach. Snyder has sullied the reputation of Marshall football and should be dealt with immediatley. I will not be purchasing SEASON TICKETS until Snyder has been replaced. I realize that I am only one person, but I am sure that there are others as fed up as I am.

Sir...if you don't have the nerve to fire Snyder....please allow him to see the emails that are being generated and maybe this gentleman will resign and hopefully someone capable and competent will restore MARSHALL Football to its proper place in the ranks of college football.

Saturday Morning Reflection #9

Here we are again...another beautiful (and rainy) Saturday Morning. I can hear the rain plinking on the metal roof. A very comforting sound. I can smell the coffee. The house is quiet while the kids are asleep. I realize that statement will cause those of you that know me to wonder...My other daughter (charly) stayed last night.

OK...Lets reflect. The past week has been filled with life. Work was just fine. Payday came and went. Bills got paid. Groceries got bought. There is, of course, an update on my situation with the EX-WIFE. I spoke with my lawyer and the final order, you remember...the one where I am obligated to pay half of the vehicle she let go back to the bank, hasn't been signed. I was told that her lawyer can't get her to come in and sign it. I am not sure what the deal is with that, but if there is no order in place doesn't that mean the seperation agreement stands? That agreement says she is responsible for her vehicle. I think I am just gonna watch and see how this one goes.

Since today is all rainy and wet, I believe I will spend a large portion of the day enjoying some college football. There is a very good chance that when this week of football is over that THE MARSHALL UNIVERSITY THUNDERING HERD could be BOWL ELIGIBLE. I will have to do my very best to get some tickets to a bowl if THE HERD goes.

There is a friend out there that is going thru some very trying times. This friend indicated to me that there has been a lot of discussion about the situation and much prayer has been offered up. God will lead you where you need to be (or go). Do not try to make a deal with God as he has his own plans. Also...don't make him burn a bush in your yard to give you enough light to see the plan...use your own light.

Well, until the next time...Please remember that I have to pay the bills

Saturday Morning Reflection #8

Hello...and Good Saturday Morning to everyone. I hope this weekend finds everyone in good health and spirits. I know that my spirits are in rare form and I am walking 10 feet above the clouds. What's that? Why am I so happy? Well, it's my kitchen CHAIR. I have discovered that it works, exactly as it should, and allows me to relax (among other things).

The past week of work has been busy (as usual) and filled with non exciting and mundane issues. I will have to say that the new boss is still on my good side and I believe he will do a good job. Sometimes when the new boss comes in he says he is gonna be good...this one seems to be proving it.

My weekend has been and will be filled with football. The Fairland game last night and the MARSHALL game today. I hope to see everyone there. Its an early game and I will be sober.

Tonight...Latisha and I are going to Kenny's house (you remember, the old retired guy that cooks for me) to have dinner with him and Bev. Gonna be a good time and Kenny is fixing his chicken casserole. I'm bringing some wine....hmmm wonder where thats headed.

Well, until the next time...Please remember that I have to pay the bills

Saturday Morning Reflection #7

Here it is...another Saturday. The first thing I want to say is...GO HERD...the second this is... WE ARE...MARSHALL

The proud tradition of MARSHALL football have been chronicled in the newspapers, television shows, and even a movie. Many of us (readers of this Blog) have, and always will be proud supporters of MARSHALL athletics. Today we play wvu...lets all cheer for a MARSHALL victory.

Everyone knows how I feel about MARSHALL football...Latisha has offered to come over and watch football with me and wear her wvu shirt.

Lets talk about life. My life is just fine. Outside of my house the birds still sing, the cats still watch them, and the sun continues to try and shine thru the clouds of winter. Through the dark days of winter we all need to remember that spring is only a short distance ahead and will be upon us soon. I intend on being thankful for all of the seasons.

I have been reading about ice fishing in the great frozen north. Thinking about giving that a try. The question is...Do you think I could wear shorts inside of one of those little mobile fishing shacks (with a heater)?

Perhaps I should just go south.

Well, until the next time ..please remember that I have to pay the bills

Saturday, October 10, 2009

Saturday Morning Reflection #6

The heater was on when I woke up this morning. I am not sure that I care for that. More summer is needed. There just was not enough fishing, boating, or cooking out. There is still a bunch of that to come, but it is colder and something isn't quite right with cooking out while wearing a jacket.

I believe there is gonna be a pitcher of sangria made in the next week or so. Adam and I have talked about getting together and drinking a few...maybe ribs or pizza also. Sounds like a good time to be had by all.

Todays reflection centers around life. You know, that thing we are all involved in. The daily activity of just being. The happiness, joy, and peace that I have found seems to grow almost daily. The peace I have found in my job. The feelings inside of me that are derived from me growing closer to God. The little things that make me smile and most of the time the big things are just shrugged off. Life continues to be good.

I have danced in the rain and I have played in the snow. I wanna do it again.

Well, until the next time, please remember that I have to pay the bills

Saturday Morning Reflection #5

What just happened? Another week of life has slipped past us. Everything seems to have gone on in a big blinding flash of fast. It was all so quick I am not sure I caught it all. So many changes...Kenny and his girlfriend getting along fantabulously. Travis and his girlfriend melding together well. Employment has been made almost enjoyable, seems as if there is a manager that knows how to manage. The VA will probably fire him for being good at his job.

The sun is shining thru the back door. I can hear the birds singing around my little pond. I would be willing to bet that there is a neighborhood cat close by. Can't blame them for wanting their food to take a bath before they eat it.

Life seems to be settling into that pre winter calm. Things are flowing as they should be and the bills are getting paid. Kinda makes me wonder whats gonna happen next...

Well, until the next time...please remember that I have to pay the bills.

Saturday Morning Reflection #4

This week has gone by so fast. The weather is changing and the rain keeps coming down. I guess the home grown tomato season is over. Sad, but there is always next year.

This morning I am not very reflective. My thoughts seems to be arranging everything in black and white with no grey areas. I am not going to whine on about how lucky I am to just be alive or how great the world is. Everything is fine in my life and it just makes me happy.

Decisions I have made for(and about) me are slowly coming into effect. I am striving to improve me in several areas. I think I have the attitude part down pat. Now, just need to work on my laziness. We shall see how that goes.

Well, until the next time please remember that I have to pay the bills

Saturday Morning Reflection #3

Good morning everyone...it is time for some Saturday morning reflection. Today's reflection starts with a look at the past week. What an interesting week it was. The biggest lesson learned is that ghosts of the past can, and will, haunt us in the future. That was my lesson..at least I believe it to be so. Let me just say this...LESSON LEARNED.

Fall is in the air and it feels good. The coffee always seems to taste better on the cool mornings and my coffee has been tasting good. Looking forward to TROUT STOCKINGS to begin in the local lakes. Nothing like some good fresh caught trout.

Might have to take some time to run up and visit my brother and sister. A big drunk with those two might do me some good. Never can tell.

MARSHALL football game today. I will be attending. Diane is going with me. Gonna be a blast.

The last (and most important item)...guess who is gonna be the FRESHMAN HOMECOMING ATTENDANT at FAIRLAND this year. Yes, it is my very own LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE.

Well, until the next time...please remember that I have to pay the bills.

This Weekend

The Weekend is upon us. All we have left to do is make it through a Friday. Some of us (me) won't be going back to work until wednesday. No, its not surgery and they are not putting me in a nursing home. I am heading NORTH to do some fishing. Got a hotel...got fishing reservations...got a plan. It will be much fun. Perhaps there will be pictures when I return. Well, until the next time...please remember that I have to pay the bills.

Saturday Morning Reflection #2

When I began this blog (sometime back) the original intent was to build some "online income." I have built some...There have been several people use the links I have posted and it has made a few dollars. I also see several dollars from the Google Adsense ads(thanks to everyone that has used that service). The Blog has now become more therapeutic. I have also discovered that it helps me to maintain contact with various people as they drift into and out of my life.

I want to thank all of the people that read this...and then remember to make contact with me.I appreciate everyone that has taken advantage of the links that have been posted and the messages received from people as they read about the happenings in my life.

My reflection for this morning centers around birds. My neighbor has several bird feeders up, which attract a huge amount of birds. These birds have decided that my decorative pond is their very own private drinking fountain. I have spent much time reflecting on "things" as I watch these birds. You can actually begin to notice the little ins and outs of bird society, from which bird is in charge all the way to who is feeding who.

Today, Kammi and I are going to the Marshall football game (GO HERD!!!). The Herd should put one in the win column.

Well, until the next time...please remember that I have to pay the bills.

A message for you

I believe that I have made my position perectly clear. DO NOT EMAIL,CALL,or TEXT ME. I deleted the email that you sent without reading it. I did view the text messages that you sent...I appreciate your offer to click on Google Ads, but I can do without your help. you have done plenty already. I would like to address 1 item your text covered. OBSESSION...I don't have it and I will be limiting any references that may give you a glimmer of hope that you are any type of positive factor in my mind. YOU ARE A LYING, CHEATING, CONIVIVING, and MANIPULATIVE (I apologize to everyone but the one this is intended for) CUNT. LEAVE ME ALONE.

Until the next time, please remember that I have to pay the bills(and some of the CUNT'S).

WOW what a week

Good morning everyone....It has been quite a week. Work has been super busy, and as usual for the government everything is in an uproar. I suppose it is just par for the course. Everyday I am asked if the divorce/property settlement is done. The answer is NO. The negotiations now are around who is going to pay the half of tricia's ford explorer when and how much. Just almost there...won't that be a relief.
The other question has been....Have you given tricia her surprise yet? The answer to that is also NO. I will not until she she has signed the papers.

The weekend of the 13th is coming up and finally I will be heading for Cleveland. I hope that is as fun as I think it will be. Might even get a little sightseeing done and post some pics...hope so anyway.

Oh well..until the next time, please remember that I have to pay the bills(and some of tricia's).

Saturday Morning Reflection

Good Morning everyone...

It is time for some saturday morning reflection. Time to sit here and review the events of the past week and let my mind put them into their proper place. The past week I have met new people, reset priorities, and laid to rest a huge piece of my past. Some things were good and some things were sad. As we all know, there must be a mixture of both in order to fully experience life.

Many of you have been curious about the final result of my divorce. Well, as expected, the paperwork is not done as my EX-WIFE cannot close the deal on paying for what the judge has assigned to her. I am sure that she is doing her very best to figure a way to screw me again. I have this message for her....I already have a trick (or 2) up my sleeve...I am just waiting for you to sign the papers so that I can hand it to you. I am sure you won't be pleased, and don't really care.

Those of you that know me well, also know that I believe that God has a plan for us all. There have been events in the past week that haved renewed my faith and shown me that there is hope. I look forward to next week when I am faced with new challenges.

Let us all keep the faith and strive to bring America back to what made us great....Well, until the next time...please remember that I have to pay the bills (and some of tricia's)

Its here

At last the weekend has arrived. That is enough to make me very happy. There are really no events in my life that need to be written about here. Nothing major going on. No life changes about to happen. With all of the "happenings" in the past year it is kinda scary for "absolutely nothing" to be happening.

Well, until the next time...please remember that I have to pay the bills (and some of tricia's)

Holly Bear

It is a sad day at my house. My feline companion of 20 years has passed away quietly in her sleep. Wherever God puts animals when they pass on she is there right now. She will be adamantly demanding her way and requiring more attention than any creature her size should need. For those of you that are interested she will be buried next to Jake Dog and Spazzie Cat. Holly Bear has touched many lives and routed the course of history through this household...From making Kenny bleed all the way thru making tricia miserable (no this is not another bash tricia entry). Holly Bear completed her life in the home she knew, surrounded by those that cared for her. Life has come full circle. Goodbye Holly bear, I will miss you.

My Apologies to all Organizations affected

OK...I sincerely apologize for my previous post, I was contacted by someone claiming to be from PETA. This individual demanded an immediate apology for my slanderous comment concerning cows, and he made reference to court actions if I ever mentioned the worlds cow population in such a negative manner again. As for the gentleman from the American Hindu Society, I understand that you are a pacifist and would not harm me, and I apologize to your cows as well. Would everyone please just let me make this a blanket apology and I will not slander the worlds cows again.

After some discussion, I am going to put this out for review prior to utilizing it. Can I remove cows from the comparison and replace them with snakes. Someone please let me know. Well, until the next time ...please remember that I have to pay the bills(and some of tricia's).

The Settlement

Today was the day for the property settlement...as everyone predicted...I got screwed. Not as bad as some people predicted that I would, but screwed.

Here is what I have to say...tricia, if you read this (and I know that you do), Keep your FAT ASS and your whelp away from me. Don't call. Don't text (anymore). Don't bother me. I am not gonna talk about the 50ish pounds you have packed on...go ahead and say it...I have always been a big boy...you are just a fat lazy cow (my apologies to the cows of this world). Please remember my favorite saying about the sun shining on the same little dogs ass all the time. I was prepared for the Judge to assign me half of the vehicle that your sloppy ass let get sold at auction because you wouldn't make the payment. Watch for it cause its coming.

I hope you are proud of what you have done and what you have become...a drain on society. You are exactly the type of creature your mother deals with everyday (for those uninformed her mother is a social worker with the state of Ohio). I also want everyone to know about the box of stuff your sister said I left at YOUR house and that you guys were going to burn. It was a cheap price to pay to get away from you. I hope to never see you again.

On a much brighter note...life has become good and once again lights are glowing in the Knight household. Unitl the next time please remember that I have to pay the bills (and some of tricia's)

Will the Rain Never Stop

The rain is still just pouring down. The local fishing holes will be in terrible shape so...no boating for the next couple of days. I am ready for this weekend. Of course, I still have to make it past thursday. As for thursday... THE PROPERTY SETTLEMENT from the divorce. I am hoping for 50/50. Its what the law says it should be.

This weekend I will either be celebrating or drinking away my sorrow. Either way it will be done. I guess that is enough for now...so until the next time please remember that I have to pay the bills

The Geese

When I came home this evening I could hear the geese outside. I listened to them take off and fly away. Tonight, for some reason, the sound haunts me. Is it that I dread the coming winter? Does the flight of geese cause me to think of the cold and dark days of winter? It is still very much summer and I plan on enjoying it.

There is no real news to discuss. Nothing major happening in life. No gigantic changes about to occur. So, I guess I will just say... Until the next time please remember that I have to pay the bills

Music

What a wonderful overcast, rainy day this is. I did a bunch of work on the house. Feels good to be home. I am playing some music on line and the volume is up. Sometimes music has such an effect on people. I am feeling it today. Feels good.

My daughter is here and she is occupied by her computer. Without the music it would be very quiet. Well, until the next time....please remember that I have to pay the bills.

1st day back

The 1st day back sucked. I suppose I am just gonna have to do something about it. Sometimes I wonder why I sold my business and went back to the VAMC. Nothing but trouble and more trouble. Well, until the next time...please remember that I have to pay the bills.

The end of a Vacation

As you can see it is saturday morning. Yesterday was the offical end of my vacation. This was, beyond any shadow of a doubt, the best vacation I have had in several years. I hope no one takes offense to that because I didn't mean it that way. I am simply saying that I had a great time doing what I wanted. The planned (and unplanned) excursions were fantastic. The fishing was good. The meals were more than tolerable and the friends were great. I had more invites than I could answer and fully intend on seeing the people I didn't get to. Perhaps a pitcher or two of sangria and a couple of pizza might make it up to the people I really want and even need to see. I will email the link to this one to them.

The house is now painted. The driveway is gravelled. I even have some pictures on the walls. The area for the desk is ready. My problem now is the fishing closet. I am not sure exactly how to set this up. I have a few ideas, but if anyone else has an idea please let me know or just stop by and show me.

Well, until the next time.....please remember that I have to pay the bills.

Great Fishing

The fishing trip was GREAT. I had such a wonderful time. I will leave out all of the gory details and just say that the food was wonderful...and somebody worked over a bottle of red wine at the dining place. WOW

There are only a few more days of vacation so I am going to make the most of them. I have plans for the comedy club one night and meeting some friends out at Applebees another.

I am going to have to work on decorating the house now that it is finally painted. Everyone knows how much I enjoy decorating. Well, until the next time...please remember that I have to pay the bills.

Trip Scheduled

Today, I called and made reservations for a fishing trip. Guess we are heading out to catch some Walleye. I can't tell you exactly when (for obvious reasons), but I will say that it is going to be a blast. There will be a nice dinner and I am sure some wine will get drank. Vacation has kept me very busy. The house is almost painted. Next up will be new back doors. Wish me luck.

Those of you that follow my blog will notice an ad from singlesnet. Please feel free to click on and take advantage of everything it offers.

Well, until the next time, please remember that I have to pay the bills.

Vacation Day

Today is the first official day of my scheduled July vacation. I slept in. I don't believe that much will be accomplished today. No need for it. I have, however, managed to plan a short excursion to Lake Eerie, fishing place link.
It will be just the way a like it...quick trip up and back within a couple of days.

The house is coming along wonderfully. I believe it is time to start looking for a desk. I might even get to that today. Gotta check the scratch and dent places.

For those of you that are interested...Holly Bear seems to be feeling better and is actually putting on some weight.

Well, until the next time, please remember that I have to pay the bills

FREEDOM

This weekend is the time that our country has chosen to celebrate its freedom. This is the day that all Americans should remember what this country stands for and the sacrifices that were made for us to have the freedoms we have. INDEPENDANCE DAY. Free of Oppresion...Free to practice any Religion we choose...Free to do just as we please. The Americans that gave that to us did so willingly. The Silversmiths, the Farmers, the Regular people that came together and Declared us to be a Free Nation.

May God watch over us all, and help those that sacrifice to keep this great country FREE. Happy Birthday America...

Caught You

Today was the day that I discovered who the rat is. Sometimes if you just stop and use your head you are able to discover the information that you need. For those of you that don't know then just don't worry. For those of you that think you know, you probably do. Read the blog entries again and you will see.

The rest of my day went just fine and I am looking forward to vacation. Until the next time please remember that I have to pay the bills.....

Divorce Update

I spoke with my attorney and have the update that everyone is asking about. In the state of Kentucky there is an action that can be filed in court that grants an immediate divorce and allows the other issues to be settled later. That is what was done. The property settlement will be next month. Yes, it is absolutely official...I am DIVORCED.

Until the next time please remember that I have to pay the bills

DIVORCED!!!!!!!!!!!?

This evening I received a text from (apparently) my dear sweet wonderful EX-WIFE (observe that "the soon to be" part was not entered). She simply stated "we're divorced." Since it was late in the day I was unable to contact my attorney. I did speak with the secretary and she had no knowledge of this happening (in her defense she only worked half a day today). I made contact with the Boyd county Clerk of Courts. It is OFFICIAL....I am DIVORCED. I still don't know what the property settlement is since I was not deposed and wasn't invited to the party. I hope my attorney was in on it and I got a fair shake. Guess I will just wait and see. Imagine that.

Until the next time...Please remember that I have to pay the bills.

Lexington,KY

Today is the day for Lexington,KY. I am looking forward to getting this over with. After we get done with business there is going to be a trip to the Mongolian Grill (thanks Travis). I have never been there but I hear its good.

I hope everyone will forgive my mood...its less than 2 weeks before I start vacation. Absolutely ready not to be working for a while. Well, until the next time...please remember that I have to pay the bills

Funny

Tonight will be a fun night. It will be a night at the Funny Bone comedy club in beautiful downtown Huntington WV. Everytime I have gone it has been very good. Usually it is made better by a glass or two wine. I am sure that I will try at least one this evening.

The divorce court date has been moved to 30July2009. I will be glad to get past this. It is well past 3am (for those of you that know what that refers to).

The house is coming along just fine. I will be starting to paint very soon. Looking forward to getting that over also.

Summer is upon us and the heat is almost miserable. I am hoping to get some fishing done on Saturday. Looks like the weather may just hold out for me. Also my upcoming trip to Lexington. Sure hope I live thru it....

Well, until the next time...please remember that I have to pay the bills

Cat Bacon

This morning while fixing breakfast I discovered that my cat does not prefer Kroger brand bacon. When I went to the store I bought the less expensive Kroger brand. When I fixed it the cat only ate a few bites and walked away...did I forget to mention she meowed at me and gave a few indignant flips of her tail. My daughter said it wasn't as good as usual, also. I suppose I have learned my lesson.

Today may be the day that I head out fishing. Seems like a good thing to do for a Sunday. Might even talk Kenny into going. well, until the next time..

A New Day

Thank goodness this day is drawing to a close. The day has been hectic. Work was filled with unhappy customers. The ***** **** had several ********** that had to be filed...and I discovered another ********** that is a LIAR. I will of course be filing an UNFAIR ***** PRACTICE against this particular ******* *****.

The rest of my day has been good. Dinner Wine My Daughter is here. All is well.

I want to put a plug in for INBOX DOLLARS. Again, I have received a check from them. The link is on this page.

Singing Birds

This morning I can hear the birds singing. They seem to be calling for the rain to stop. I can hear the rain on my metal roof. It is a very pleasant sound to drink my coffee to. I will be filing first step grievances at work today. No, not for me...for some other people. Until I started working with the Union I didn't realize how hard it was for some managers to comply with rules. Now, I see exactly how out of control some managers are. Well, until the next time...Please remember that I have to pay the bills.

I'm up

Wow...another fun filled weekend has come to a close. There are many surprises in store for the people around me. I have discovered some very interesting facts and have just kept them to myself. Just like I was told...You aren't really as stupid as ...you get the idea.

This week holds the promise of getting a little more done around the house. I expect to crack open the paint cans this week. God knows I hate to paint. I will be accepting volunteers.

Until the next time...please remember that I have to pay the bills

Another Post

There is really nothing new to say. Everything seems to be going along just fine...life and work. The house is also coming along. Living here is getting more and more comfortable. Holly Bear spends more time wanting to sit on my lap. She is getting old. My friend Bill came by and last night and we went for drinks. It was nice to catch up on things and I look forward to doing it again. Well...until the next time please remember that I have to pay the bills

Last Day

Today is the last day of my vacation. Wow...What a week. I am gonna have to go back to work to get some rest. The fishing has been great and don't forget I also got paid for my efforts. The warm weather is causing the yard to grow and I need to get it knocked down. Since I am back I will get on it. Tuesday. I just don't have the energy right now.

There is nothing else major going on. For those of you that knew about the baby birds (out back) they have left the nest. The babies still hang around and beg for food but they are almost grown.

Until the next time, Please remember that I have to pay the bills....

Week Off

Wow, is it ever nice to have a week off. Not much going on...Did the yard work and have almost finished revamping the goldfish pond. I hope to have fish living there within the next two days. As you have noticed I am not working very hard at it. Thursday thru Saturday I will be fishing. I am hoping to bring back enough fish for a fish fry...and can you imagine I am even going to get paid for fishing. I think I have found my dream job....

Enough about fishing for now. Maybe a little more next time. Until the next time please remember that I have to pay the bills....

Ice Tea

Feels good to sit in my house and drink Ice Tea. I can hear the kids at the ballfield playing and having a good time....just the way kids are supposed to. Seems like spring is in the air and everything is becoming new again. The yard projects are still there waiting to be taken care. I will get to those sooner or later. Next week is a whole week of vacation. I have made some plans, but I will be doing the things I like to do, the way I like to do them. I really don't have anything to write about...just felt like writing this. Everyone should know how this one ends...until the next time please remember that I have to pay he bills

Singing Birds

The birds know that it is spring. I can hear them outside singing. Their songs are about birth and renewal. Life just moving along. The natural course of things. Tricia has once again tried to shake up my life. Yes, I know she hates it when I mention her in this blg, and that is why I do it. She even has had the nerve to call my daughter and spew out her craziness. Good Lord woman...(she does read this) lets just get divorced and get this over with. We will both be much better off.

On a more positive note. My life just flows along easily. Work plans and goals are being completed. My future is becoming clearer. Well, until the next time please remember that I have to pay the bills....

Warm Coffee

Here I sit with a cup of warm coffee. There is a cat doing her very best to lay on my lap. This is friday morning and I just have to make it thru one more day and I will have a full weekend off. Next week I get to travel three days down into Virginia for some training. I am looking forward to it. Imagine three days in a nice hotel with meals paid for and all the fun that would go along with it...could be a blast. Jeremy is traveling with me. This is his first traing with Our Union. He will make an excellent Steward. Anyway...until the next time please remember that I have to pay the bills

Sunshine

I am sitting here looking out my window. The sun is shining. There are birds flying back and forth. Everything looks (and smells) like spring. The world is turning green again. I can actually feel the winter doldrums being lifted from me. I am going to take the time to make things pretty this year. I am planning so many yard jobs that I am not sure they will all get done. The first one up will be fixing the pond in the front yard. Not sure about the new design, I am just looking forward to doing it.

This weekend is supposed to be very nice. I am pretty sure that I will be placing some fish in the freezer before all is said and done. Gonna be a fish fry....

Decisions

Today is a day filled with decisions. I am not really sure what the decisions are, but I am making them. The decision of the day is that I am going to go fishing. Gonna be a blast. Everyone that needs to know already knows where I am going, so keep your eyes open for the pictures. I/we am/are gonna catch a big bunch of fish and I believe there will be a cookout involved. Maybe even a beer or two.

I guess the / marks in the previous paragraph may spark some interest. Well, until the next time...please remember that I have to pay the bills

Just another Monday

Today is just another Monday. The house is quiet and I am not going to work. Foot hurts. I will live. Went and got meds from the doc. Nothing major on my schedule for today. Jake Dog

For those of you that don't already know...on 040609 I lost my canine companion of 16 years. Jake Dog had reached the ripe old age of 16. His hips were gone and he couldn't hardly walk. The vet service came to the house and put him down. Jake Dog is now chasing bicycles and oppossums somewhere. He has been laid to rest in his own yard. The one he patrolled for many years. I am very sad. Jake Dog will be missed. Until the next time please remember...Jake Dog and smile like I do

My Morning Coffee

The coffee tastes good this morning. I am heading to work an hour early today and will be putting in some overtime. It looks good on a paycheck. Everything else seems to be just fine.

On a different note I am going to refer back to my conversation with Tricia. Yes, I really meant what I said, and please just leave me alone and lets get this divorce done.

The weekend plans are shaping up. Looks like ----- and I will be doing dinner on saturday. Friday night should be fun also.

Coffee

The coffee this morning is extra good. I am not sure why. This is just a typical day for me. I have scheduled a mystery shop in Louisa KY (picked up some good gas money) and am going out to see a band tonight.Nothing super spectacular going on at all. I am also scheduled to do 4 hours of overtime at work on sunday. Looks good on a paycheck.

The renovations on the house are moving along. Slowly, of course. There is one more doorway to remove and a wall to put in its place. After that it will be time to paint. Any volunteers? until next time...

2 Beer Dinner

Dinner tonight was good. Steaks and beer (with french fries). I am at peace with myself and my decisions. I think my career is going in a good direction. Today one of the supervisors stopped to ask my advice in reference to some issues he was having. My union training has come in handy. Good Luck Dale.

I hope to write more in this blog...more volume and more entries. Now, for the weekend. Gonna be a blast. ----- is taking me to a club in charleston to listen to her favorite band. I am gonna have a great time. Kinda hope that I don't have to show my Redneck side. For any one who has a question about that (and needs to know) please refer back to the incident at Sharkeys in Huntington in early 2000.

until then

Another Sunday

Good Morning everyone,

Today is Sunday and I must say it looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. The sun is shining and ...I woke up on the correct side of the ground this morning. Everyone at my house is becoming more and more concerned. Jake Dog is growing older and his hips are failing him fast. I am afraid that he won't be with us much longer. I wish he was a pup again.

Gotta put in some overtime today. Seems that with my office being three people down we just can't keep the work caught up. I expect I will see a few others there this morning also.

My dear sweet wonderful soon to be ex wife texted me yesterday...all I told her was for her to speak with her lawyer...since my lawyer has now spoken to hers. I hate that it has to be that way, but she went and got a temporary order requiring me to pay half of her marital debt. She did conveniently leave all of my bills off of the order. My attorney is asking for it to be set aside or...for her to have to pay half of mine. I am sure that will go over like a rock.

The final mater in that is...the divorce is paid for and all that remains is a legal split of the debt and signing of the papers. I am pretty sure she doesn't realize that she will lose money from her VA comp check and also her health insurance. Yes, I know her other ex husband will have to carry coverage on her kids...Good Luck with that, Josh.

My blog posts seem to be growing. I believe it is directly related to the fact that I feel better and life is on the upswing. See you guys on the lake...until next time

Rain

Here I am sitting at home. There is a very cold rain coming down outside. I appreciate the roof over my head today. Tonights plans include a date with a very nice young lady. I look forward to it. I believe dinner will be at Applebees.

I realize this blog has become about absolutely nothing and I kind of like it. My random thoughts concerning the world and Troy's way in it. There will be very few attempts to make money or even sign you up for anything. I am just not interested.

Sunday Kenny and I are going down to cave run lake and see whats going on. Might even manage to get a line in the water. I wouldn't mind a meal with sone fresh fish, beans and cornbread. Sounds really good.

Until next time

Hectic

Sorry to all of my readers for not posting for a while. Contrary to popular belief I have not been in prison. Nor was I imprisoned in a foreign country for doing something stupid.

Todays post is just going to be short sweet and to the point. I am liking my life again. It is just wonderful to laugh and have a good time. Much of the sadness has left and the fun has returned. I hope to file my divorce papers very soon (at least an answer to what is already there) and get that mess over with. I have determined that there is not and will not be any form of reconciliation.

Lets look at the brighter side. There is a young lady named ----- that has entered my life and I am most intrigued with her. She is pretty and smart and sexy. I am a very lucky man. We'll see how that goes.

The boating season is upon us and here is some advice. Beer in the left hand steer with the right...

Once again

Here I am again..starting to post on my Blog. Life has been crazy and hectic. I now know for certain that I will be divorcing Tricia. She no longer has the status of she who shall remain nameless and I don't care to put this info out there. Should she see it then...so what. My life has just gotten better and better. I am still learning to enjoy the little things that I had given up while married. My cooking skills are returning and I am very much looking forward to the fishing trip I have scheduled. Its gonna be a blast.

There really isn't any big news. Everything just seems to be going fine. I have been offered a job out of town, but I don't think I am going to accept. I have too much working for me here. The raise would be nice, but this is home.

Until next time...

Union Time

Here I sit in the Union Office wondering about life and everything in it. The stress in my life has decreased so much that I have actually begun sleeping at night. Anyway, I am not here today to talk about that.

The faithful readers of my Blog have asked me to talk about the rest of my life. I have met a wonderful woman who just "fits the bill." My animals all seem to be settled and peaceful. My daughter is happy and doing well with school. I am not going to boast about the all county band, the national honor society, or any of the other things she has accomplished. I am a proud Daddy.

Kenny and I were discusing summer and fishing the other day and I can hardly wait. Until then,

Snow

Today, it is snowing here. I know that I have not posted in a while, but I hope to be posting more. Life is filling me with me again. I feel more like myself and have started to develop goals once again. For those of you that know me...The straw that broke the camels back has arrived. I will not be going back anymore. I am sorry, but there are things you just can't live with. I know that I will not be living with those things anymore. Maybe in another life, never can tell.

Life is going well and things are just falling into place. I hope to write about those things very soon. until then...
